Sometimes you have to get down and dirty and just throw it together. It was one of those nights. Nothing really sounded good, so we defaulted to pizza. There was spinach pesto dough in the fridge already, so all we needed was a quick sauce. Dizzle discovered these great tomato sauces. There are two different versions in our store, one a little hotter than the other. Both are a great way to add a little kick without adding overpowering flavors. (Ingredients include onion and garlic, but it’s a really mild pleasant flavor.) I’m sure a regular can of sauce could be substituted along with a splash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes. No chopping. No simmering. Nothing fancy about this one, but there’s nothing wrong with that!!
