Super Fast Pizza Sauce
- 28 oz can tomato puree
- 1½ tsp salt
- 1 TB herbs de provence (or basil/oregano)
- 6 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tsp olive oil
- Heat oil in pan. Add garlic. Cook low until softened. Add puree, salt, herbs.
- *Optional - Simmer covered for 15 minutes to incorporate flavors.
This, and really any marinara, can be used for quick tomato soup by adding stock, pasta sauce with meat and/or veg, add cream for a different version, dollop a spoonful on top of creamy risotto, and on and on and on….
There will be MANY versions of marinara to come.
