Looks like this weekend will be Italian, and the rest of the week is totally Thai!

I’ve made several different meat/mushroom blends of bolognese, but this is my first attempt at 100% mushroom.

Carbonara because there is bacon in the freezer from the holidays, and someone has to eat it. 🙂 (and it’s one of the most delicious things on the planet)

What’s that…. TOFU?! I’ve always been averse to the stuff. Never heard anything nice about it. Tried it at the Thai restaurant this week, and…’s good! I wasn’t offended by it at all. No funky flavor. Not as gooey gelatinous as I imagined. Found a gorgeous recipe in my fave Thai cookbook, so I’ll be tweaking that a bit and cooking my first tofu meal.

Disappointed at having no bean sprouts in town. Substituting shredded cabbage and hoping for a tasty pad thai.
