The kid likes purple.
I always ask what looks interesting to him when we are in the produce section. I’m game for him to try anything and everything, and so far he is great at trying new things. It’s not always successful, and that’s ok. One recent failure was radishes. I don’t force the issue, and I’m happy he keeps tasting. I was making egg rolls last week and he picked the purple bits out of the slaw mix I was using. The next day he wanted the same slaw mix in the produce section. I spotted a whole purple cabbage and grabbed that instead. He was intrigued.
Simply sliced and served with marinated and sauteed tofu. The little guy also has a real thing for soy sauce, so he had a tiny little bowl of it for dipping on the side. Loved it.Tags: cabbage, kid food, toddler food, tofu
