One good thing about Dizzle’s travels is that he often comes home with tales of delicious dishes. The latest is drunken noodles. He was hooked, and now that I’ve created it at home I’m totally sold. OH YUM. The noodles are wider, so it’s different than our usual pad thai, maifun, or bean threads. I actually couldn’t find them in stores, so I used whole wheat lasagne noodles and used a pizza cutter to get the desired width. The sauce is pungent and spicy. I really like all the fresh peppers and basil in this one. I used a Food & Wine recipe as reference with a few tweaks. I’ll definitely be doing more yummy experiments soon and posting my version.
